By downloading, installing, or using Dear Optimist ("the App") you agree to these Terms, which form a legally binding agreement between you and Optimistic Media LLC. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The App is intended for users 13 years of age and older. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. If we learn a user does not, we may terminate the account and delete its data.
Dear Optimist provides daily affirmations, journaling, voice memos, and mood tracking. A free tier includes the morning affirmation, daily weather ratings, and journaling for your first 21 days. Premium unlocks additional daily affirmations, unlimited journaling and voice memos, custom affirmations, and Year-in-Weather analytics.
Premium is $14.99/year or $1.99/month. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple or Google account and renew automatically until cancelled. Manage or cancel in your app store account settings. Prices may vary by region and over time.
You own your journal entries, voice memos, and custom affirmations. You grant us only the limited rights needed to store and display that content back to you. The affirmation library is owned by Optimistic Media LLC and is provided for personal use only.
Don't misuse the app, attempt to breach security, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Dear Optimist is for reflection and well-being, not medical or mental-health advice. It is provided "as is" without warranties to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the App or by updating the "Effective" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
